K&R PERFORMANCE ENGINEERING POWERS THE WINNERS

IHRA Summit Super Series World Champion Chad Hedgecock

Cleveland, TN: The staff at K&R Performance Engineering would like to highlight and congratulate several customers on excellent 2007 performances utilizing K&R Performance products. The winners of some of the most prestigious events and points series’ in sportsman racing rely on K&R’s elite line of Pro-Cube Delay Boxes, SPD Switch Panels, Pro-Stage Systems, and more.

That fact was evidenced at the 2007 edition of the Comp Cams Million Dollar Race. There, Gary Williams defeated Ricky Adkins in the final round of the richest event in drag racing. Williams drove his K&R Pro-Cube equipped Bloomfield Interiors Dragster to the win when Adkins used K&R’s “bump-down” feature to his disadvantage, “bumping” to a red light start in the final round with his Adkins Race Cars dragster. In addition to the Pro-Cube, Adkins also utilizes K&R’s SPD II switch panel kit.

Semi-finalist Troy Williams, Jr. also depends on a K&R Performance Products, utilizing both the Pro Cube Delay Box and SPD-II switch panel kit in his Mullis Race Cars machine. Troy squared off with his brother Gary in an epic semi-final tilt of former Million Dollar Race winners, with Gary coming out atop one of the best races of the entire event.

Longtime K&R Performance Engineering customer Chad Hedgecock had a banner season as well in his Eagle Race Engines Mullis Dragster. In addition to a strong season on the IHRA Nitro Jam and Pro-Am circuit, Hedgecock became the 2007 IHRA Summit Super Series World Champion at the World Finals in Rockingham. Hedgecock advanced thru preliminary competition at his home track, Knoxville Dragway, to earn the right to compete in the Division 2 runoff at the division finals in Steele, AL. His victory there earned him a trip to Rockingham for the final 8-car shootout, which he won to secure his first world championship. Hedgecock uses a K&R Pro Cube delay box, SPD-II switch panel, and Pro-Stage throttle controller for all his electronic needs.

Like Hedgecock, Luke Bogacki used a complete line of K&R products (Pro-Cube Delay Box, SPD-II Switch Panel, and Pro-Stage controller) in his CSR Performance Products backed dragster to win the DragRaceResults.com/Goodyear Bracket Series National Championship. Bogacki dominated the series, leading the points standings from the first race of the season thru the season closing Pro Bracket Masters Championships.

K&R Performance Engineering customers also swept the prestigious Florida Winter Series events last month. Jason Lynch used the K&R Pro-Cube delay box in his new Undercover Chassis Dragster to help him rack up the Bradenton 5-Day points title, while Troy Williams, Jr. drove the same Mullis Dragster with which he semi’d the Million Dollar Race to back-to-back wins at the Moroso 5-Day en route to the 5-Day points championship.

K&R Performance Engineering would like to congratulate these tough competitors for their accomplishments and thank them for many years of loyal business. K&R would also like to thank all of its customers for years of support and winning success.
